Garowe (SD) – Puntland State Minister of Industry and Investment Abdullahi Abdi Hirsi has confirmed that he has been diagnosed with Coronavirus on a Facebook post.

Puntland’s Covid19 committee announced last night that a Puntland minister and a parliamentarian were diagnosed with the disease, although they did not disclose the names of the officials.

The minister of commerce was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Saturday, he has been quarantined at home and is in good condition but got very sick in the beginning.

Puntland state of Somalia have seen a high number of COVID-19 cases recently, second only to Banadir region were the death toll is still raising.
