MOGADISHU (SD) -Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, received a delegation from the British Foreign Office led by the Permanent Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Development, Sir Philip Barton.

The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation and the significant bilateral relationship between Somalia and the UK, with Prime Minister Barre expressing appreciation to the UK Government for its role in supporting Somalia’s state-building efforts, particularly in the areas of security, economy, environmental conservation, and the development of social services.

In return, the delegation led by Mr. Philip Barton thanked and commended the Prime Minister of Somalia, expressing their recognition of the strides made by the Somali people and government in recent times.
