Somalia asks AU to condemn Ethiopia’s aggression

ADDIS ABABA (SD) -The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama, speaking at the 37th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, called on the African Union members to jointly condemn Ethiopia’s expansionist intentions.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the significant achievements of the government in ensuring security in various regions, especially in the fight against Al-Shabaab.

He strongly condemned Ethiopia’s expansionist ambitions, informing the African leaders that the Somali government would never accept any compromise on the sovereignty of Somalia.

Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Salax Ahmed Jama elaborated on the withdrawal of ATMIS from Somalia and how the national forces are ready to take over the security of the country.

He highlighted the progress made by the Somali forces in various aspects of national security, particularly in countering terrorism and advancing development initiatives.
