Somalia Calls for Investigation Migrant Deaths at the Turkish-Greek Border

MOGADISHU (SD) -The federal government of Somalia has expressed sorrow for the young Somali migrants who were found dead at the Greek-Turkish border.

The Somalia government has called on Turkey, Greece, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), to immediately examine the deaths of the five Somali teenagers on the Greek-Turkish border.

The government said it was “deeply saddened” by the deaths of Somali citizens and extended its condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

The Somali youths who died on the border between the two countries have been reported dead as a result of extreme cold weathers and frostbite.

The two countries have blamed each other for the deaths of these young Somali migrants and migrants from other countries.
