Mogadishu October 31, 2022 (SD) – The Somaliland National Consultative Council called on the people and the government of Somaliland to maintain security and stability.
A statement issued by the National Consultative Council praised Somaliland for all it built and enjoys and suggested to its people to protect it.
“The council commends the culture, stability, and democracy that Somaliland has been blessed with, and calls on them to maintain their stability and peace,” Somaliland’s Minister of Information Daoud Aweys told the media.
The Council’s statement comes at a time when the government and the Somaliland opposition parties are at logger head over the country’s presidential elections.
The electoral Law indicates that the presidential election should be held first, while the Somaliland i\President Muse Bihi Abdi is insisting on registering a set of new and possibly weaker political organizations.
