Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali Federal Minister of Health Fawziya Abikar Nur, in her daily national Coronavirus briefing confirmed 73 new COVID-19 infection in the country.
The Somali Minister announced that Puntland authorities confirmed 25 cases, Benadir regional administration reported 17 cases, Southwestern regional administration confirmed 12 cases.
The minister said the new COVID-19 total number of cases in the country is at 1,357, with 2 patients dying and 13 patients recovering.
The Minister made it clear to the public how necessary it is to continue the community’s efforts in order to control the outbreak, urging the whole community to use Masks and to their hands regularly.
Somalia is one of the hardest hit countries, were no one really knows the number of the actual infected cases, due to lack of testing availabilities.
