Mogadishu (SD) – Somalia’s Electoral Implementation Committee has issued a press release announcing the General Schedule for the Parliamentary 2020/2021 Elections of the Federal Republic of Somalia (JFS).

The schedule states that from Saturday 17 July to 23 July, 2021 the list of candidates for the Upper House will be submitted, with the final list to be announced on 24 July.

Elections for the Upper House will be held on July 25-28, 2021, according to the committee.

“In line with the responsibility of the Federal Electoral Implementation Commission on the implementation of prompt, timely, free and fair elections and the need to initiate the electoral process, while preventing further delays.” Said the press release.
