Somalia: Floods submerge neighborhoods in Jana ‘ale

JANA ‘ALE (SD) -Neighborhoods in the Janaale district of the Lower Shabelle region have been significantly affected by the devastating floods caused by heavy rainfall and the overflow of the Shabelle River.

The Head of the Janaale district, Abdirahman Abdi Nur Al Adala, stated that the residents of Janaale and surrounding areas have faced significant challenges due to the flooding caused by the overflow of the Shabelle River due to heavy rainfall in the region.

Additionally, Member of the Federal Parliament Hussein Ali Haji, visited the Janaale district in the Lower Shabelle region to assess the situation.

He assessed the dire consequences of the flooding, including the impact on residents and the destruction caused by the overflow of the Shabelle River and heavy rains.

Many areas in the Lower Shabelle region have experienced challenges due to the flooding, affecting both the riverbanks and the areas adjacent to the Shabelle River.
