Mogadishu January 08, 2023 (SD) – The US Ambassador in Mogadishu, Larry Andre has today delivered military aid worth $9 million to Somalia, The aid includes weapons, vehicles, and medical supplies.

The aid is expected to reach the HirShabelle and Galmudug regions, which are currently engaged in fighting against the Al-Shabaab group.

The Minister of Defense, Cabdiqaadir Mohamed Nuur Jama, and the Chief of the Armed Forces, Odowa Yusuf Rage, thanked the US government for the military aid.

The weapons will support the Danab units, which are part of the US-supported forces currently conducting operations in HirShabelle and Galmudug.
