Somalia: Mogadishu bans hats and masks

MOGADISHU (SD) -The Banadir regional administration issued a decree today banning the wearing of hats and masks in Mogadishu.

The spokesperson of the Banadir regional administration who spoke to the media said Mogadishu residents will not be allowed to wear hats and veils in public.

The administration of Banadir region has also banned the use of light weapons on public transportation, and owners of Taxis have been ordered not to allow weapons in their vehicles.

The security agencies have been instructed to act according to the law against those who violate the order, considering that those people threaten the security of the capital Mogadishu.
