MOGADISHU (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has suspended the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia Abdisaid Muse Ali.

A decree issued by Prime Minister Roble stated that the reason for the suspension of the Foreign Minister was that he had illegally released a ship carrying charcoal docked at the port of Oman.

Prime Minister Roble also revoked a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs authorizing the release of the ship carrying the illegal charcoal docked at the port of Oman.

PM Roble instructed the Office of the Auditor General and the security agencies to investigate the allegations against the foreign minister and report them to the judiciary.

The foreign minister, who was close to the outgoing president, has not yet commented on the allegations and the subsequent suspension.
