Somalia: Presidents Madobe in Garowe for election consultations

Garowe ( SD) – Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe has arrived in Garowe, the capital of Puntland state, where he was received a warm welcome.


The Jubaland president arrived in Garowe at the invitation of Puntland President Said Deni, as to discuss their position on the Dhusamareb agreement and proposed recommendation.

This is the second time that President Ahmed Madobe is visiting Puntland for consultations. In January this year, Ahmed Madobe arrived in Bossaso, and held consultation with President Deni.

President Farmajo called on the two regional state presidents to be part of the country’s election model agreement and address their concerns, as the elections is slated to take place on time.

President Ahmed Madobe was welcomed by Puntland Vice President Ahmed Elmi Osman Karash, Puntland House of Representatives Speaker Abdirashid Yusuf Jibril Awl and his two deputies Abdiaziz Abdullahi Osman and Ismail Mohamed Warsame, former Puntland President Senator Abdirahman Farole, and Puntland Parliamentarians, Nugal Regional Administration, Garowe District Administration, Military Officials, Regional Women and various sections of the community.
