Somalia: Puntland to deport foreign fighters

BOSSASO-The military court of the Puntland administration has set free six foreign defendants from Ethiopia and Morocco, who were formerly members of the ISIS group.

These foreigners are being repatriated to their respective countries and were handed over to the Puntland Ministry of Justice for deportation. It has been reported that these individuals were members of ISIS.

Additionally, the court has freed six young people who have not yet reached the age of maturity. These Somali youths have also been handed over to the Ministry of Justice for rehabilitation.

The Chairman of the Puntland military court, Colonel Abdifatah Haji Adan, stated that these foreigners surrendered to the government after escaping from the ISIS group.
