Mogadishu January 25, 2023(SD) – -The police of the Banadir region have started security operations, with the first operation being carried out in the Xamar Weyne district.

The police and security forces conducted house-to-house searches in the area. The operation was also joined by five district commissioners from the region.

During the operation, the police carried out investigations in various parts of the district, as part of the first phase of the operations announced by the security authorities of the capital. Several individuals were arrested and are currently being investigated.

Additionally, items used for illegal activities were seized during the operation. The operation is being conducted in coordination with the district commissioners of the central districts of Boondheere, Abdiasis, Warta Nabada, Shangaani, and Xamar Weyne.
