Jigjiga (SD) – People suspected of supporting TPLF fighters in Tigray region of Ethiopia have been arrested in Somali Ethiopian regional state capital Jigjiga.
Police in the Somali region of Ethiopia have confirmed the arrest of 28 people on the suspicion of supporting the TPLF forces in the war against the federal government.
The Somali Regional Police Commander Mohamed Yare told the media that they had seized property the suspects stole from the public during the TPLF rule in Ethiopia and is been used to fund the rebel group.
The Somali Regional State of Ethiopia recently sent troops to fight alongside the federal government forces in Tigray.
The Ethiopian Federal Government have been at war with the TPLF regional administration and recently recaptured Tigray region of northern Ethiopia, only to withdraw later.
