Mogadishu (SD) – Acting Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled has today met with security officials to discuss the need to launch an investigation into the attack on the Elite Hotel in Mogadishu.
Mr. Mahdi Guled listened to a report from the security services regarding yesterday’s terrorist attack in Mogadishu.
PM Mahdi Mohamed Guled instructed the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into yesterday’s incident and urged them to redouble their efforts to strengthen security in the country so that the Somali people can have reliable security.
The order follows yesterday’s deadly attack at Elite Hotel were Al Shabab killed both government officials and civilians alike.
The Somali government despite undergoing major reforms in the security sector and the national army in general to enable it to fulfill its responsibilities to protect citizens and their property, still struggles in securing the Capital, let alone the country at large.
