MOGADISHU (SD) -In a statement released by former Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire, and MP Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, they rejected the electoral commission and election laws appointed by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
They described these actions as contrary to the agreed-upon constitution.
They stated that these measures could lead to political conflict, security instability, and endless term extensions.
Additionally, they warned political stakeholders and the public not to be deceived by the new process, calling for inclusive dialogue to establish a transparent system based on the proper constitution.
