NISA Kills 27 Militants in Middle Shabelle

MOGADISHU (SD) -The Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) and the Somali National Army carried out a planned operation in which they claimed to have killed Al-Shabab (AS) militants in the Middle Shabelle region.

The operation was specifically conducted in an area called Yaqle and was led by senior officers from NISA and the Somali National Army. A statement from NISA confirmed that the operation resulted in the death of 27 militants, with more than 30 others injured.

The statement also informed the Somali public to avoid areas where Al-Shabab militants are present to expedite the operation and to prevent the public from being exposed to additional risks.

The operation was also described as a planned effort to prevent further harm and conflicts against civilians.

The forces are continuing efforts to strengthen security in the region, planning to expand operations to eliminate weapons and Al-Shabab militants in various areas of the country, as stated by the officials.
