Somalia’s PM: Hamas not Terrorists but a liberation movement

MOGADISHU (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Bare, defended the rights of the Palestinian people and the struggle they are waging against the Zionist forces of Israel that have occupied their land.

The PM stated that Hamas’ activities are not acts of terrorism but a struggle for their land, and he called for the international community to ensure that a two-state solution is not delayed, to avoid the suffering in the Middle East lasting for more than a century.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Bare made these remarks during an event commemorating Sheikh Abdikadir Al-Jilani, held in the city of Mogadishu.

“It is indeed unfortunate that the world witnesses what is happening in the city of Gaza, where every 15 minutes, an innocent Palestinian child is killed. This has resulted from the aggression of the Israeli forces against the vulnerable Palestinian people, including children and women,” said MP Barre.

He further added, “The governments that claimed to advocate for human rights are supporting the Jews to oppress innocent children, women, and people who have done nothing wrong, with the intention to displace the indigenous Palestinians, while the world watches. Israel has gone so far that they have targeted hospitals and health facilities,”.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Bare mentioned that Gaza has been deprived of basic necessities, including water, electricity, and food, due to Israel’s actions, describing the situation in the city as dire.

He inquired about the whereabouts of those who fought for the rights of mankind, especially the people of the West.
