MOGADISHU (SD) The Chief of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Sheikh Mohiuddin, held a significant meeting today with the Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, Colonel David Haskell, discussing the ongoing fight against the Al-Shabaab group.

General Ibrahim Sheikh Muxudiin addressed high-ranking American officials involved in Special Operations, emphasizing their participation in the battle against Al-Shabaab and indicating that the operation will soon commence.

The U.S. Military Mission in Somalia responsible for Special Operations has pledged readiness for its role in the operation.

The visit of Colonel David Haskell, Commander of the U.S. Special Operations, to Somalia comes at a time when the Somali government recently expressed concern about the possibility of suspension of support to the Danab forces by the U.S. government.
