Somaliland: 27th Anniversary of the Police Force Commemorated

Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, attended the 27th Anniversary ceremony of Somaliland Police Force today.

The 27th anniversary commemoration of the establishment of the Police Force of the Republic of Somaliland was held at the Police Headquarters.

The President was accompanied by the Chief Justice, the Attorney General, the Commanders of the Armed Forces, and members of the House, ministers, members of the KULMIYE party leadership, some of the heads of the police allies, pilot Ahmed Mohamed Hassan (Ahmed Dheere) and many other dignitaries.

The ceremony focused on the establishment of the police force and its important role in maintaining security in the country and protecting lives and property of the citizen.

The Commander of the Somaliland Police Force, Brigadier General Mohamed Aden Saqadhi (Dabagalle), spoke about the significant progress made by the Police Force in the areas of training, transportation and access to other essential resources for their work in the community. he stressed that as a force, they have developed a clear plan and goal to achieve their intended goals for the coming period.

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, congratulated the Police Force and said that he is aware of the hard work they are doing for the nation, which can sometimes results in loss of life.

“I send my congratulations to all the police forces, their generals, officers, non-commissioned officers, colonels and their wives, and we as a nation thank them for their work. Their injuries and deaths are high and we as a nation stand by them. ” said the president.

Finally, the President of the Republic of Somaliland presented gold medals and ranks to various police officers, who have shown diligence and diligence during their tenure in the force, and inspected various vehicles and buildings of the force, unveiling a large building reserved for police officers.
