Hargeisa (SD) – Abdimanan Yusuf, the chairman of Astan Cable TV who was recently arrested by the Somaliland intelligence forces in Hargeisa has today been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Hargeisa.

The authorities also reportedly allowed his family and friends to visit him in prison, no word on whether his attorneys will be allowed to visit him.

He is expected to be arraigned in Marodi-jeh Regional Court today, according to Mohamud Jama Huto, chairman of SOLJA.

Astan Cable TV has condemned the arrest of their CEO in Hargeisa and demanded his unconditional release.

The Somaliland government has not yet commented on the reason for the arrest
