Burao May 07, 2023 (SD) – The head of Somaliland’s administration in Buuhoodle district of Cayn region, Nasteex Mohamed Abdile (Nasteex Tuur), has received many Somaliland troops today and military vehicles.

Nasteex Tuur, who had been residing in Burao, the capital city of Togdheer region, in recent times due to the ongoing conflict, has now withdrawn his support for the administration he formerly supported.

He led his troops and military vehicles to the SSC (Sool, Sanaag, and Cayn) areas where Somaliland forces are fighting against the SSC-Khaatumo militia.

Nasteex Tuur arrived in Ceegaag district with four military vehicles that he got from Somaliland and joined the ranks of SSC-Khaatumo, withdrawing his allegiance from Somaliland and joining SSC. He has greatly influenced Somaliland politics and their claim on Laascaanood town.

He is among the latest high-ranking officers and soldiers who supported Somaliland that joined the SSC forces in the Sool, Sanaag, and Ceyn regions currently fighting against Somaliland.
