Ankara (SD) – Somaliland Foreign Minister Yassin Mohamud Faraton who is in Turkey met with Turkish government officials, particularly the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

No official word has yet been released on Faraton’s meeting with Turkish officials, but it is worth noting that Somaliland has recently appointed a new envoy to the country.

Turkey has also hosted and been part of the Somaliland and Somalia talks in the past, although it is no longer part of the ongoing talks.

Somaliland have been trying to built on the Turkish mediated agreement, which allowed Somaliland to remain quasi independent.
