Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, today launched the national Covid-19 vaccine campaign in the country, and officially received the first doses of covid-19 vaccine.

The Somaliland president along with leaders of opposition parties and other Somaliland government officials have today received the covid-19 vaccine.

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, has announced that the vaccination campaign has officially begun, based on a plan developed by the Ministry of Health Development with priority for the frontline people.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Bashe Mohamed Farah, Minister of Health Development, Mr. Omar Ali Abdullahi, Chairman of UCID, Mr. Faisal Ali Hussein (Faysal Ali Warabe), Interim Chairman of WADDANI, MP Abdikadir Haji Ismail Jirde after receiving the vaccine doses spoke there, reassured the community that they should be vaccinated against the virus, and called on the public to adhere to measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
