HARGEISA-The Somaliland Ministry of Public Works and Housing has handed over a comprehensive urban plan to Somaliland mayors.

At a ceremony held at the Somaliland presidential palace attended by President Bihi, the urban planning ideas for Somaliland were announced, and the president stated it would be implemented throughout Somaliland.

“Las Anod was the first and followed by the city of knowledge and peace in Borama, and we promise to make the cities and complete the city plan,” said President Bihi.

The president thanked the ministry of public works and the engineers who worked on the city plan, saying his government would give priority to engineers and the ministry.

Thus far, a comprehensive urban plan has been implemented in Las Anod, Borama and Allaybaday.
