Mogadishu (SD) – The Somaliland government has dismissed claims that the Somali government provided medical aid supplies to Sool and Sanag region.

The dismissal coming after the Somali Government added Sool and Sanag regions of Somaliland its list of regions it sent medical supplies, in its efforts to fight the spread of the Coronavirus.

A statement from the Somaliland Anti-Corruption Commission said “There is no medical equipment that the weak government of Somalia has brought to the Sool and Sanag regions of the republic of Somaliland, and it is not their responsibility nor is it expected to. We are also making it clear that they are making false reports on the condition of the Coronavirus in Somaliland on a daily basis, and this could undermine the world’s efforts to fight the disease. “
