Hargeisa (SD) – The Somaliland government has today lifted all of its Coronavirus restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 Prevention and Preparedness Commission.
Somaliland’s vice president Abdirahman Seylici in press conference today, announced that the government lifted all restrictions, including travel, public and private gatherings, but urged on everyone to adhere to the country’s public health orders.
The vice president has also announced that anyone traveling to the will be checked at the airport, saying they will need to prove to be negative if they can’t prove they will be quarantined on their dime, for 14 days.
The Somaliland government plans to lift the shelter in place restriction on the 30th of June, according to the Vice President of Somaliland.
The Government didn’t give expert details of the reasons of its decision to lift the public order, leaving the vulnerable to a possible second wave of community infections.
