Somaliland to UNICEF: Borama is not in Somalia

Hargeisa (SD) – The government of Somaliland is outraged by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) statement on its Twitter account referring to Borama is a city in Somalia.

An statement from the Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that UNICEF’s statement that Borama was part of Somalia was a violation of UN-Somaliland co-operation.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in a released statement on the community in Borama receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, described it as a city in Somalia.
