Mogadishu (SD) – Safar Taxi Company has today officially launched in the capital city of Mogadishu with a ceremony attended by various sections of the community, Such as businessmen, politicians, women’s organizations, university students, cooperatives, taxis & other officials.

Mr. Abdirizak Mohamed Jama, Director of Safar Taxi, spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of taxi travel, saying that it is an opportunity for the Somali community to create jobs while also traveling cheaply by Safar Taxi.

Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale, the head of Taxi Transport Cooperatives in Mogadishu, also spoke at the event said “It’s a job opportunity for many taxi drivers but never got many customers during the day.”

The event was also addressed by the Head of Marketing & Sales of Hyundai Mrs. Hibo Warsame who announced that she brought a modern vehicles for the taxi company and that the Somali people will benefit from the latest models of modern vehicles.

Finally, the event was closed by the Head of Dahabshiil Group Benadir & both Shabelle Mr. Abdirizak Haji Hussein who said that Dahabshiil Group is always committed to meeting the needs of the Somali people and stressed the importance of taxi travel as a public transport.
