Mogadishu (SD) – The Speaker of the Federal Upper House of Somalia, Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, warmly welcomed the joint agreement presented at the Consultative Meeting of the State Governments, in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug.

In a press statement issued by Governor Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, stated he welcomed the points raised at the conference, and described them as a preliminary success that could lead to a permanent agreement, reached by the Federal Government and its Member States.

In the press release, the Speaker also commended the Government and the people of Galmudug, for their role in holding the conference and for convincing other regional leaders to attend.

The Speaker concluded by saying he is confident that the outcome of the conference will lead to a joint national agreement, which will bring peace, stability and development.
