LAS ANOD (SD)-The House of Representatives of SSC-Khatumo has called on the Federal Government of Somalia to ensure that the constitutional amendments are inclusive, involving both the Federal Government and all member states.

In a statement issued by the SSC-Khatumo Parliament, it was emphasized that it is necessary for Puntland, Jubaland, and other relevant regions to be part of the constitutional amendments to promote national unity and political stability.

The SSC-Khatumo Parliament also reminded the Federal Government of Somalia and other stakeholders of the importance of recognizing SSC-Khatumo’s rights to support, development, and political representation.

They urged the leaders of the Federal Government and member states to set aside conflicting agendas and prioritize the national interest of Somalia through dialogue and cooperation.

This statement from the SSC-Khatumo Parliament coincides with a meeting held in Las Anod, discussing the role of the SSC-Khatumo Parliament in enabling the SSC community to participate in constitutional matters.
