Las Anod September 03, 2023 (SD) – The SSC-Khatumo regional forces have showcased hundreds of soldiers from the Somaliland administration in the recent clashes that occurred on the outskirts of the city of Las Anod.

The captured soldiers from the Somaliland administration are reportedly held in various locations in Las Anod, and the Khatumo administration claims that they are treating the prisoners humanely.

Members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have visited the prisoners in the city of Las Anod, where they assessed the conditions of the captured soldiers and provided support for their well-being and other humanitarian needs.

The ICRC stated that they have identified more than 300 prisoners from Somaliland who were captured during the recent conflicts in the city of Laascaanood.

Their objective in visiting them is to promote humanitarian values and assessments of their conditions.
