-The SSC-Khatumo Traditional Elders declared today, that they will not participate in the upcoming 2024 Puntland elections.

An official statement released by the SSC-Khatumo Traditional Elders announced that they will not be represented in Puntland’s Parliament.

The Traditional Elders’ Council of SSC-Khatumo also decided that they will not support any candidate from their regions for the upcoming 2024 Puntland elections, including the position of Puntland Vice President.

They urged the SSC members of the Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee of Puntland to resign from their positions.

The SSC-Khatumo Traditional Elders clarified that they have established their administration and will not actively participate in regional elections outside of their territories.
