Mogadishu (SD) – A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Ex-Control Afgoye intersection in Mogadishu, killing at least two people and wounding several others.
According to reports, the bomber detonated his explosives at a checkpoint on the road to Ex-Control, known as Moalim Nur Road.
At the time of the blast, government troops reportedly arrived at the scene with military vehicles and were trying to open the road and remove a blockade.
The blast is said to have caused casualties to civilians and soldiers at scene.
Somali police spokesman Sadiq Aden Ali has told the media that a suicide bomber who blew himself up at the Ex-Control intersection in Mogadishu today killed a civilian woman and the suicide bomber.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast at near Ex-control Afgoye in Mogadishu.
