Additionally, the African Union Peace and Security Council addressed and made decisions regarding the conflict between Ethiopia and Somalia. The council’s chairperson stated that they would work closely with Africa’s economic stakeholders, regional institutions, and other relevant parties to resolve the conflict between the two countries quickly.

To resolve the conflict between the two countries, the African Union Commission has instructed the use of all available diplomatic channels.

Furthermore, the commission emphasized that the efforts to resolve the conflict between the two countries should be based on Article 4 of the African Union Charter, the protocol establishing the African Union Peace and Security Council, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness and international law.
