The Banadir police chief killed in an explosion today

Mogadishu September 30, 2022 (SD) Gen. Farhan Adan (Qaroole), the Banadir regional police commander, have died in a mine explosion targeting military convoy that was with him.

The police commander was in Basra where the Federal Government troops were carrying out operations this morning and was one of the officers leading the war against Al-Shabaab.

The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has condoled with the Somali people over the death of the Commander of the General Police Department of Banadir Region, Brigadier General Farhan Mohamud Aden, and other soldiers killed this morning in Middle Shabelle.

“Brigadier General Farhan Mohamud Adan and the other martyred soldiers sacrificed their time and their lives to help the Somali people live in peace, and they put in a lot of effort to rid Somalia of terrorist groups.” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
