Mogadishu (SD) – The African Peacekeeping Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) is reportedly moving its training base outside of Somalia and is setting it up in Ethiopia.
According to the Indian Ocean newspaper, the current AMISOM training base in Mogadishu will be relocated to Jigjiga, the capital of the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia.
The United States Government contacted a US-based company called (PAE) to set up the African Peacekeeping mission’s Training base in Jigjiga, which is located 60KM from the Somaliland border.
The contract awarded to the US company (PAE) is worth $ 13.6 million, according to the Indian Ocean newspaper.
The newspaper didn’t disclose its sources and the mentioned parties didn’t yet respond to the reporting.
