Dhusamareb (SD) – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, accompanied by Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre, held a preliminary meeting in Dhusamareb today between the Somali Federal and member state Governments.
The meeting was also attended by the Presidents of Galmudug, HE Ahmed Abdi Kariye, Hirshabelle HE Mohamed Abdi Ware, Puntland HE Said Abdullahi Dani, Southwest HE Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed and Jubaland HE Ahmed Mohamed Islan.
The meeting focused on setting key issues for consultation at the Federal and State level Summit, regarding the electoral process and national security.
Reports from the Dhusamareb indicate that the summit is likely to be held tomorrow, Tuesday.
Other unconfirmed reports say that tomorrow’s big meeting will be limited to one-day, were the leaders will give their speeches, were a Technical Committee at the Federal and State Ministers’ Levels will be set up for negotiations.
Today’s meeting follows a series of closed-door meetings between the President, the Prime Minister and heads of member states.
