HARGEISA (SD)—The United States, Djibouti, and Somalia’s Federal Government have all congratulated the newly elected President Abdirahman Irro and the people of Somaliland.

The U.S. has congratulated Somaliland on its recent election and its peaceful transition of power. The U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu commended the newly elected President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro.

President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh of Djibouti has also sent congratulations to the newly elected President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Cirro, and the people of Somaliland.

The President and Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Hamza Abdi Barre, have congratulated the newly elected President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Irro, for his victory in the presidential election.

The Chairman of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, has sent congratulations to the new President and Vice President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) and Mohamed Aw-Ali Abdi, on their success in the public election held in Somaliland.
