Two Coronavirus Cases Confirmed in Mnadera

Nairobi (SD) – Kenya’s health minister has confirmed that two cases of Coronavirus infection have been discovered in Mandera, Kenya’s northeastern region.

The minister also confirmed that the 14 new cases of the Coronavirus in the country makes the total number of people infected with Covid-19 in Kenya 172 people.

On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the restriction of movement into and out of four affected counties – Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale – for three weeks.

“I am telling the public to brace for bad news and be ready because all the measures we are taking won’t stop a disease that’s already here,” he said.

The new cases in Mandera town have caused great fear among Somalis in the North Eastern Province and Somali towns near the border between the two countries.
