Hargeisa (SD) – EU Ambassador Nicolas Berlanga has today paid a courtesy visit to UCID Chairman Eng. Faysal Ali Warabe’s residence.

The Ambassador and the UCID Chairman discussed electoral issues, telling the EU Ambassador that the preparations for the elections are well underway and that all stakeholders are united in ensuring that the elections are held on time.

The ambassador arrived in Hargeisa today visiting the home of Chairman Faisal Ali Warabe.

The chairman thanked the EU ambassador, Nicolas Berlanga for all of his efforts in making the election possible.

The European Union is one of Somaliland’s election stakeholders, spending heavily on electoral development.

Somaliland will hold the long delayed local council and parliamentary elections on May 31st.
