MOGADISHU (SD)-The Chairman of the Somali Disaster Management Agency, Mahamoud Moalin Abdulle, chaired a meeting attended by the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations, George Conway, and the head of the UN-OCHA office in Somalia, Crispen Rukasha, along with technical teams from UN-OCHA and SoDMA.

The meeting focused on strengthening efforts and coordinating relief activities, addressing challenges related to aid diversion, assisting stabilization efforts, tackling recorded challenges, and positioning SoDMA as the lead coordinator for emergency stabilization efforts to ensure efficiency.

Additionally, the meeting discussed accelerating and coordinating the upcoming National Humanitarian Forum activities, which will be attended by donors, regional government ministries working on relief efforts, and various humanitarian organizations. The importance of achieving unified actions and a comprehensive plan was emphasized.
