Mogadishu December 18, 2022 (SD) – The Union of South West Presidential Candidates today criticized a reconciliation agreement between Speaker of Somalia’s Parliament Adan Madobe and South West regional President Laftagareen.

In a statement, the Candidates said that they were not consulted about the postponement of the December political reconciliation meeting.

The Union of South West Candidates said that the term of the South West president is coming to an end on December 19, 2022 and would lack legitimacy.

It was just yesterday when the Speaker of the Parliament and the President of South West said that the Baidoa reconciliation will be held next month.
