MOGADISHU (SD) – The United States has bombed an al-Shabab base in the village of Hareeri-gubadle, about 20 km east of Wabho in the Galgadud region.
A statement from the Somali government detailing the airstrike said it was carried out jointly with US forces.
The attack comes as US officials recently demanded that President Biden resume such attacks.
The Somali government says the more than 200 al-Shabaab members and officials, but did not release the names and the positions of the dead militants officials.
Al Shabaab has not yet commented on the attack, and there are no independent sources to confirm the exact number of militants killed in the operation.
