MOGADISHU (SD) -The Commander of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin, today received military vehicles provided by the United States government intended for the Special Forces Unit Danab.

The donated vehicles were received by the Commander of the Somali National Army in Mogadishu.

The Charge d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Somalia, Shane L. Dixon, handed over the vehicles to the Somali National Army Commander, which were intended for use by the Danab Special Forces Unit.

Additionally, General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin Addow expressed gratitude to the United States government for their support in training and equipping the military forces and for assisting the Somali army.

The United States continues to support the training, equipment, and operations of the Somali National Army, particularly the Danab Special Forces Unit.
