US, Ethiopia to investigate Ali Khalif’s sudden death

Addis Ababa (SD) – The United States and Ethiopian governments are said to be jointly investigating the cause of death of former Somali Prime Minister Ali Khalif, due to his sudden and suspicious death in Jigjiga.

The Autopsy is requested by the family of Prof. Ali who is an American citizen, according to sources close to the family.

The Somali Regional State of Ethiopia has issued conflicting reports on the death of the deceased, adding to the suspicion of his death, but the local government still insists that he has died of Covid-19.

An ONLF leader alleges that the Khatumo leader was possibly prisoned.

Relatives of the deceased former Prime Minister, who spoke to the media said a satisfactory investigation was needed.

There are suspensions of poisoning the Khatumo leader among Somalis everywhere.

Prof. Ali Khalif was laid to rest in Mogadishu with a national funeral yesterday.
