Mogadishu (SD) – Somalia’s federal President Mohamed Farmajo today hosted a luncheon for the presidents of the regional administrations and the governor of Banadir region at his residence.
A statement from Villa Somalia said: “This meeting is a prelude to a conference to finalize the outcome of Samareeb-3 which will open on the 12th of this month.”
The official meeting between President Farmajo and regional leaders scheduled to open today has been postponed due to a reported dispute between the federal government and Jubaland in Gedo region remaining unresolved.
The federal member states seem to be divided on their approach to the election process and the Dhusamareb 3 agreement.
