NAIROBI (SD) – Wadani Party Presidential candidate Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro accompanied by party chairman Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan on a working visit to Nairobi, Kenya met with EU officials.

The senior Wadani Party officials confirmed their working trip to Nairobi, Kenya on a Facebook post.

“The party’s presidential candidate and I went on a short working trip to Kenya.” said Hirsi Hajji Hassan, the Chairman of the Wadani Party.

Adding “We had an unscheduled meeting today with the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) and a member of their office in Nairobi, and I thank them for their interest in Somaliland’s development and elections.”

The Wadani leadership’s trip comes at a time when President Bihi has touted he will not hold the country’s presidential election on its scheduled time, but is rather dismantling the opposition parties.

It is not known what the unannounced trip of Wadani officials is about or how long it will take.
