Burao (SD) – Reports from Burao town in Togdher region confirm that a woman was reportedly raped and later murdered last night.

The woman who was killed was identified as Ugbad Ali Dhaban-loox, a resident of Burao, she is said to have been killed by a man she had known for the past few days.

The girl’s body was taken to Burao hospital, according to the hospital’s director Dr Abdi Sudi, confirming the killing took place last night in Burao.

Reports say the woman was raped before she was killed, which has caused anxiety and anger among the residents of Burao.

Police in Burao have arrested a man suspected to be behind the alleged rape and murder of Ugbad Ali Dhaban-loox.

The victim was said to be a single mother of three children.
